KATHMANDU: MAY. 20 – Balendra Shah, the independent candidate who has been leading in Kathmandu Metropolitan City since the beginning, has polled fewer votes in Ward No. 27.
Balen, who was leading in other wards by a huge margin of votes, saw his vote drop in Ward 27.
He is twice as far behind UML candidate Keshav Sthapit in this ward. Sthapit has secured 535 votes.
Sirjana Singh, the Congress candidate, obtained 365 votes in this ward. In Kathmandu Metropolitan City, 78,360 votes have been counted.
The Office of the Returning Officer reports that counting is taking place in Wards 6, 7, 8, 9, 25, 26, 27, 29, and 31.
