KATHMANDU: MAY. 20 – The results of 627 municipalities have been made public till 7 am under the local level election. As per the 753 local level polls held on May 13, the final results of 627 places including sub-metropolitian, municipality and rural municipalities have come out.

Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist, JSP, Democratic Socialist Party, RPP and some independents have won the post from the municipality so far.

According to the most recent figures, the Congress won 277 seats, the UML 173, the UCPN (Maoist) 111, the CPN-Unified Socialist Party 14 seats, the JSP 18 seats, LOSAPA 7, RPP 4 and 23 municipality mayors won the post of independent candidates.

Among the places where the counting of votes is going on, the Congress is leading to the mayoral race, while the UML, the Maoist Center and the Unified Socialists are in the second, third and fourth place respectively.

Congress is leading in 46 seats while UML is leading in 25 seats. Similarly, the Maoist Center has secured 10 seats, the CPN-U has secured 5 seats, the JSP has secured 17 seats and the Democratic Socialist Party has secured 5 seats. Others are ahead in 11 places.
