Chiribabu of NC retains the lead

KATHMANDU: MAY. 20 – Chiribabu Maharjan, a Nepali Congress candidate, has maintained his lead in Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

According to the most recent poll results, he secured 19,324 votes, while CPN-UML candidate Harikrishna Byanjankar polled 1,061 votes.

Asta Bahadur Maharjan of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party obtained 1436 votes.

Manjali Shakya Bajracharya of the CPN-UML is leading the race for Deputy Mayor. She secured 10,400 votes, while CPN-Maoist candidate Baburam Bajracharya polled 7,168 votes.

Swarnim Shakya of the RPP has obtained 2583 votes so far.
