Votes count of 570 local level votes completed
The counting of votes in 570 of the country's 753 municipalities has been completed.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 19 – The final results of 570 local levels across the country have been made public in the ongoing counting of votes in the local level elections.
The counting of votes in 570 of the country’s 753 municipalities has been completed. According to the most recent results, the Nepali Congress has won the most local levels.
According to the Election Commission, the CPN-UML is second after the Nepali Congress, with the CPN (Maoist Center) third.
Congress has won 253 municipal mayors and chairpersons out of 570 municipalities. Congress has won 44.38 percent of the votes in the municipality.
Similarly, UML has so far won 164 municipality mayors and chairpersons. This is 28.77 percent of the total votes counted.
The Maoists have so far won 105 municipality mayors and chairpersons. Maoist candidates have emerged victorious in 18.42 percent of the constituencies.
JSP, Nepal has so far won the municipality mayors and chairpersons of 15 municipalities. This is 2.63 percent of the final results.
CPN (Unified Socialist) has so far won the post of municipality mayors and chairperson of 12 municipalities. The UCPN-M candidate has won 2.10 percent of the votes in the municipality.
Democratic Socialist Party (LOSAPA), Nepal has so far won the municipality mayors and chairpersons of two municipalities. LOSAPA has won 0.35 percent of the votes in the municipality.
Other independent candidates have won in 19 of the constituencies where counting of votes has been completed so far. This is 3.33 percent of the municipality which has completed the counting of votes.
