KATHMANDU: MAY. 19 – Votes count in the Pashupati constituency in Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 8 has begun.

This is the ward of Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa.

Nepali Congress mayoral candidate Sirjana Singh has obtained 48 votes out of 100 total votes counted so far.

Similarly, Balen Shah, the leading independent candidate in the metropolitian, polled 22 votes.

CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit, on the other hand, polled only one vote.

Balen now has a total of 22842 votes, putting him in first place overall.

Similarly, Keshav secured 11769 votes, while Sirjana Singh obtained 1086 votes.
