Results of 5 municipalities of Jhapa made public

BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 19 – The results of five Jhapa Municipalities have been made public.

The CPN-UML has won in two of the five municipalities, while the Nepali Congress has won in two. The RPP has won one seat, according to the Election Commission.

Rajendra Kumar Pokhrel of CPN-UML has been elected in Kankai Municipality while Devindra Prasad Chaulagain has won in Barhadashi Rural Municipality.

According to the Election Commission, Kalendra Prasad Singh Rajbanshi of Nepali Congress was elected in Kachankawal Rural Municipality, which includes Bhadrapur Municipality.

RPP has kept the Bahardashi Rural Municipality that it had won earlier in Jhapa safe. RPP’s Rabindra Prasad Lingden was elected.
