UML wins in Sunsari Gadhi

BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 19 – The CPN-UML has won the Gadhi Rural Municipality in the Sunsari district.

CPN-UML candidate Aash Narayan Chaudhary was elected chairperson, and Anita Shah was elected vice-chairperson.

Chaudhary defeated Mahesh Dutta of the Nepali Congress by a margin of 3551 votes. Chaudhary received 8901 votes, while his opponent Dutt received 5350 votes.

Anita Sah of the CPN-UML received 7815 votes for vice-chairperson. Rajkumari Chaudhary of the Congress Party received 5838 votes.

The UML panel won in Gadhi Rural Municipality Wards 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
