KATHMANDU: AY. 19 – Independent candidates have also increased their lead in Sunsari’s Dharan Sub-Metropolitan constituency.

Harka Rai, the independent candidate who rose with the ‘Lauro’ election symbol, has extended his lead.

According to the most recent results, Rai polled 8,509 votes, while Kishor Rai of the Congress coalition obtained 8,362 votes.

Manju Bhandari, a UML candidate, polled 6,858 votes.

Aaindra Bikram Begha of the UCPN (Maoist) obtained 9,430 votes from the coalition for the post of deputy chief, while Padam Bahadur Limbu of the UML polled 9,079 votes.

In Dharan, 29,466 votes have been counted so far.
