Results of 551 municipalities made public, which party won how many?
Congress is leading in 74 seats while UML is leading in 42 seats.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 19 – The results of 551 municipalities’ elections for local level members have been made public. Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist, JSP, Democratic Socialist Party, RPP and some independents have won the post from the municipality so far.
According to the most recent figures, the Congress won 246 seats, the UML 155, the UCPN (Maoist) 104, the CPN-Unified Socialist Party 10 seats, the JSP 14 seats, RPP 2, LOSAPA 1 and 11 municipality chief won the post of independent candidates.
Congress is leading in 74 seats while UML is leading in 42 seats. Similarly, the Maoist Center has secured 13 seats, the CPN-U has secured 10 seats, the JSP has secured 20 seats and the Democratic Socialist Party has secured 11 seats. Others are ahead in 13 places.
