NC takes the lead in Biratnagar rather than UML

BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 19 – Until the last poll results of Biratnagar Metropolitan City are made public, the Nepali Congress has maintained its lead of 4381.

Nagesh Koirala of the Nepali Congress secured 17,077 votes for the post of the chief, while Sagar Kumar Thapa of the CPN-UML secured 12696 votes.

Independent candidate Umesh Kumar Yadav’s Laltin polled 5426 votes.

Shilpa Niroula Karki of the CPN-UML secured 14677 votes for the post of deputy chief, while a coalition candidate Amarendra Yadav of the JSP secured 8844 votes.

The number of votes between UML and JSP has reached 5833 for the post of deputy chief. With this difference of opinion, Koirala of the Congress and Karki of the UML have become victory oriented.
