Maoist Center’s Renu continues to lead in Bharatpur

KATHMANDU: MAY. 19 – Renu Dahal of the UCPN (Maoist) contesting for the post of Mayor of Chitwan’s Bharatpur Municipal Corporation from the ruling coalition has got 9967 votes more than Bijay Subedi of the CPN-UML.

Dahal secured 12352 votes while Subedi secured 8037 votes.

Independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has secured 5355 votes for the post of mayor.

Congress’ Chitrasen Adhikari got 14611 votes and RPP’s Himla Gurung got 8074 votes for the post of deputy mayor.
