NC mayor & UML deputy mayor elected in Khairahani
Lal Mani was earlier the mayor of Khairahani.
CHITWAN: MAY. 18 – Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have won the mayor of Khairahani Municipality of Chitwan. Sashi Khaniya of the Nepali Congress from the alliance has won the mayoral election with 14,545 votes.
Her nearest rival CPN-UML’s Lal Mani Chaudhary secured 13,695 votes. Lal Mani was earlier the mayor of Khairahani.
Kabita Upreti of CPN-UML has been elected as the deputy mayor with 14,164 votes.
Her nearest rival Laxmi Dhakal polled 9,670 votes.
