21-year-old youth wins rural municipality chairperson
He defeated Nepali Congress candidate Ajay Kumar Kurmi by a margin of 117 votes.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 18 – A 21-year-old man has been elected chairperson of Parsa’s Kalikamai Rural Municipality.
Bashishta Kumar Gupta, a JSP candidate, was elected chairperson of the rural municipality.
He defeated Nepali Congress candidate Ajay Kumar Kurmi by a margin of 117 votes.
Gupta polled 3,743 votes. His closest competitor, Congress candidate Kurmi, polled only 3,626 votes.
