Newly elected chairperson of Kailali Chure Bogati takes oath

DHANGADHI: MAY. 18 – Chakra Bahadur Bogati, chairperson of the Chure Rural Municipality in Kailali’s hilly region, has taken the oath of office and secrecy.

At a ceremony held at Kailali District Court on Wednesday, Chief Election Officer and District Judge Jayananda Pareru administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly elected Chairperson Bogati.

This time, Bogati is the first newly elected municipality chief to be sworn in in Kailali.

He defeated Lok Bahadur Saru of the coalition’s Unified Socialists in the rural municipality by 24 votes.

Bogati polled 3,305 votes, while Saru polled 3,281 votes.
