KATHMANDU: MAY. 18 – Balen Shah, an independent candidate, is leading the vote count in Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

In Kathmandu, which has 32 wards, voting has been completed in 5 of them.

According to the latest poll results, Shah got 16,775 votes. Similarly, with 8,726 votes, Keshav Sthapit of the CPN-UML is trailing Shah.

Similarly, 6 wards are currently being counted. Even in the wards being counted Balen has taken the lead.

Balen is leading in all wards where voting has been completed, as well as in 4, 6, 7, 29, 30, 31, and 32 wards in Kathmandu where voting is still taking place.

Balen secured 3107 votes out of the total 7554 votes cast in Ward No. 4. Similarly, UML candidate Keshav is nearly half behind him. He polled 1526 votes in the ward, placing second. Sirjana Singh, the Congress candidate, is in third place with 1160 votes.

Similarly, Balen is also leading in Ward No. 6. Balen secured 1367 votes, Sthapit secured 709 votes, and Singh secured 932 votes out of a total of 3851 votes counted.

Balen secured 126 votes in Ward No. 7, out of 300 total votes counted, Sthapit secured 45 votes, and Singh secured 62 votes.

Balen secured 444 votes out of 1340 votes counted in Ward 29. Sthapit secured 270 votes. In this ward, Singh secured 321 votes.

Out of the 1666 votes counted so far in Ward No. 30, Balen has 598 votes and Sthapit has 233 votes. Singh secured 284 votes.

Similarly, Balen secured 1814 votes in Ward 31 out of 4767 total votes cast, while Sthapit secured 998 votes. Singh secured with 997 votes.

Balen secured 3412 votes out of 7613 casts in Ward 32. Sthapit secured 1583 votes.t. Singh secured 1232 votes.
