Congress wins Morang Katahari chief, UML wins deputy chief

BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 18 – Nepali Congress has won in Morang’s Katahari Municipality.

Devraj Chaudhary of Nepali Congress won the election by getting 6565 votes for the post of rural municipality chairperson. Following him, CPN-UML’s Subhash Kumar Sardar polled only 5682 votes.

Similarly, CPN-UML’s Sita Devi Rajbanshi won the Deputy Chief. While she got 5848 votes, Manjita Kumari Sardar of Nepali Congress polled 5705 votes.
