KATHMANDU: MAY. 18 – The results of 426 municipalities have been made public under the local level election. So far, Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist, JSP and some independents have won the post.

According to the most recent figures, Congress has won 198 seats, UML 129 seats, UCPN (Maoist) 83 seats, CPN-U has won 7 seats, JSP has won 5 seats and independent candidates have won 12 seats.

The Congress is leading in the places where votes are being counted, while the UML, the Maoist Center and the Unified Socialists are in the second, third and fourth place respectively.

Congress is leading in 122 seats while UML is leading in 75 seats. Similarly, the Maoist Center is leading in 32 seats, the CPN-U in 14 seats, the JSP in 28 seats and the Democratic Socialist Party in 10 seats. The other 16 are ahead.
