Results of 402 municipalities made public, which party won how many?
The Congress is leading in the places where votes are being counted.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 18 – The results of 402 municipalities’ elections for local level members have been made public. Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Center, CPN-Unified Socialist, JSP, and some independents have won the position so far.
According to the most recent figures, the Congress won 183 seats, the UML 114, the UCPN (Maoist) 82, the CPN-Unified Socialist Party 6 seats, the JSP 5 seats, and 12 municipalities.
The Congress is leading in the places where votes are being counted, while the UML, the Maoist Center, and the Unified Socialists are in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
Congress is leading in 131 seats while UML is leading in 84 seats. Similarly, the Maoist Center has secured 33 seats, the CPN-U has secured 16 seats, the JSP has secured 29 seats and the Democratic Socialist Party has secured 10 seats. Others are ahead in 16 places.
