NC wins four; two others from Maoist Centre in Dadeldhura

DADELDHURA: MAY. 17 – Of the seven local levels in Dadeldhura, results of the local levels from six have been made public. According to the results released by the officials, Nepali Congress (NC) has won the key posts in four local levels while Maoist Centre emerged victorious in two others.

The result of the Parshuram Municipality is yet to come out.

NC candidates have won the election to the post of mayor and deputy mayor in Amargadhi Municipality. Dilliraj Joshi won the mayoral post by getting 3,619 votes while Parbati Jhukal was elected as the deputy mayor by securing 3,678 votes.

In Ajaymaru Rural Municipality, Umesh Prasad Bhatta of Maoist Centre got elected to the post of chairman by getting 2,469 votes. Bhatta was elected to the post for the second consecutive term to the post. Basanti Pal of NC made to the post of vice-chairperson in the rural municipality by getting 2,297 votes.

Likewise, NC’s candidates won the election as the chair and vice-chair in Nava Durga Rural Municipality. Laxmi Prasad Awasthi won the election as the chair by getting 2,879 votes while Nirmala Bista won the election for vice-chair by getting 3,208 votes.

In Alital Rural Municipality, Maoist Centre’s candidates won the election in the post of chair and vice-chair. Sher Singh Parki of the Maoist Centre was elected as chair by getting 2,389 votes and Maina Kumari Rawat was elected the vice-chair by securing 2,602 votes.

In Ganyapdhura, NC’s Indra Bahadur Karki was elected the chair by garnering 3,184 votes while Gyanu Seti in the post of vice-chair by managing 3,013 votes.

Similarly, NC’s Hem Raj Chataut got 2,311 votes to win the election as the chairperson of Bhageshwor Rural Municipality.

NC’s Pushpa Thakurathi secured the post of vice-chair by managing 2,348 votes in Bhageshwor Rural Municipality.
