Eight ordinances tabled in Parliament
The government introduced the ordinances during the 11th session of parliament, which began as a budget initiative.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 17 – Eight different ordinances have been introduced in the Federal Parliament’s House of Representatives.

The Nepal Police and State Police Operation, Supervision, and Coordination (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2078 BS, the Social Security (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2078 BS, and the acid and other heat chemicals regulation Ordinance, 2078 BS have all been introduced by Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand.
Similarly, Birodh Khatiwada, Minister of Health and Population, has introduced the Medicine (Third Amendment) Ordinance, 2079 BS, as well as the Ordinance on Health Workers and Health Institutions (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2079 BS.
Renu Yadav, Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, introduced the Railway Ordinance, 2074 BS.
Govinda Prasad Sharma, Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs has introduced Ordinance 2078 to amend some Acts relating to Criminal Offenses and Criminal Procedure, as well as Ordinance 2078 to amend some Acts relating to Sexual Violence.
