UML wins in Chingad of Surkhet

SURKHET: MAY. 17 – CPN-UML has emerged victorious in Chingad Rural Municipality of Surkhet.

UML’s Bodh Bikram GC won by 61 votes in Chingad.

Dor Prasad Sharma of the Nepali Congress has been defeated here, according to the Office of the Polling Officer. While GC secured 3591 votes, Sharma secured 3550 votes.

Similarly, Meena Kumari Rokaya of the UML has been elected as the municipality’s vice-chairperson. Her opponent, Manmaya Acharya of the Nepali Congress, was defeated.

UML has won in wards 1, 4 and 5 in this municipality while Congress has won in wards 2, 3 and 6.
