KATHMANDU: MAY. 17 – The counting of votes in Banke’s Janaki and Baijnath Rural Municipalities has been halted.

A dispute has erupted in Janaki Rural Municipality saying that the counting staffs hid the results.

Basudev Sharma, the Rural Municipality’s Election Officer, informed that the counting of votes had been halted for some time due to a dispute in the counting of votes.

Similarly, District Election Officer Rama Aryal reported that the counting of votes in Baijnath Municipality had been halted due to a disagreement.
