Alliance’s Rajeshman maintained his lead in Birgunj

KATHMANDU: MAY. 17 – Rajeshman Singh, the JSP’s mayoral candidate, has maintained his lead in the Birgunj Metropolitan City mayoral election. With 8,207 votes, Singh maintained his lead.

Vijay Kumar Sarawagi of UML comes in second with 3,665 votes. The coalition has 4,542 votes more than the outgoing mayor, Sarawagi.

With 5,996 votes, Deputy Mayor Imtiaz Alam of the Nepali Congress is in first place.

Purushottam Lal Jha of the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party got 914 votes for the position of deputy mayor.
