KATHMANDU: MAY. 17 – The counting of votes in Tilottama, Rupandehi, has now been halted.
The municipality has halted the counting of votes after Nepali Congress cadres protested the rigging.
The counting of votes in Wards 16 and 2 at Tilottama Municipality’s Transport Office has been halted.
According to the Election Officer Madhav Prasad Lohani, it has been agreed that the counting will be carried out after looking at the actual statistics as there was a difference in the number of votes between the enumerator and the party representative.
At present, Congress cadres are chanting slogans outside the polling station.
