KATHMANDU: MAY. 17 – The ruling coalition candidate has won for the post of chairperson and vice-chairperson of Simkot Rural Municipality of Humla.

Bijay Bhandari (Resistance) of the CPN (Maoist Center) has been elected as the chairperson of the rural municipality with 2,882 votes. His nearest rival Mahendra Bahadur Shahi of the CPN-UML got 1,969 votes.

Similarly, Sushila Rokaya of the Nepali Congress has been elected as the vice-chairperson with 2474 votes. Her nearest rival Pratima Lama got 1,457 votes.
