BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 17 – Nepali Congress has maintained the lead in Biratnagar Metropolitan City.

According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nepali Congress candidate Nagesh Koirala got 9,000 votes, while CPN-UML candidate Sagar Thapa got 6667 votes. Thapa’s vote share with Koirala has increased to 2333.

The lantern of independent candidate Umesh Yadav has got 2825 votes.

Shilpa Karki of the CPN-UML got 7646 votes, while Amarendra Yadav of the JSP got 4844 votes. According to the most recent poll results, UML’s Karki is 2802 votes ahead of the alliance’s deputy mayoral candidate Yadav. RPP’s Binda Kumari Luintel got 2302 votes.
