UML defeats coalition in Dailekh’s Narayan Municipality

SURKHET: MAY. 17 – UML candidates have won in Narayan Municipality, the district headquarters of Dailekh.

UML’s Loman Sharma has won the mayoral post with 5436 votes while UML’s Taptakumari Thapa has also won the deputy mayoral post with 5673 votes.

Nirmala Kumari Khadka (Thapa) of the Nepali Congress (NC) polled 5,357 votes while Sharma won the election from the UML for the post of the chief.

Similarly, Sabitri Malla of the CPN-Unified Socialist Party, who had become a candidate from the alliance, was defeated when UML’s Khadka won the Deputy Chief. Malla has got 3838 votes and is also the outgoing deputy chief.
