NC leads while UML trails in Itahari
The CPN-UML is the frontrunner for the position of deputy mayor.
BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 17 – Nepali Congress has maintained its lead in Sunsari’s Itahari Sub-Metropolitian.
According to the most recent results, the Nepali Congress got 8234 votes. The CPN (UML) is seen trailing. UML got 6810 votes.
The CPN-UML is the frontrunner for the position of deputy mayor. The CPN-UML got 7564 votes, while the CPN-U got 5104 votes on behalf of the coalition.
Votes are currently being counted in Itahari wards 2, 3, 4, 5, 17, 18, and 19. Wards 2 and 20 have already had their final results announced.
Ratan Karki of the Nepali Congress was elected in Ward No. 1 with 1747 votes.
According to the Returning Officer’s Office, Maniram Shrestha of the Nepali Congress was elected in Ward No. 20 with 2406 votes.
