COVID-19: Seven new cases recorded

KATHMANDU: MAY. 16 – The country has recorded seven new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a number of COVID-19 cases were detected during the course of 2,785 tests using RT-PCR and antigen methods.

Similarly, during the same time period, nine people recovered from the virus. With this, the total number of people who have recovered from the virus has reached 966,913.

The recovery rate, according to the ministry, is 98.8 percent. There are currently 139 active COVID-19 cases in the country.

So far, COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 11,952 people.

There are currently 139 people on home isolation.
