Independent candidate Shahi elected in Khandachakra of Kalikot
Ganesh Bahadur Shahi of the CPN (Maoist Center) has been elected as the Deputy Chief.
SURKHET: MAY. 16 – Independent candidate Kamal Bahadur Shahi has been elected as the chief of Khandachakra Municipality of Kalikot.
Ganesh Bahadur Shahi of the CPN (Maoist Center) has been elected as the Deputy Chief.
Shahi got 2,919 votes in the Chief and Ganesh Bahadur Shahi got 2,926 votes in the Deputy Chief.
Independent candidate Shahi defeated his nearest rival CPN-UML’s Jasiprasad Pandey and was elected as the mayor. Pandey has got 2609 votes.
Defeated Pandey was elected as the mayor of Khandachakra Municipality in the 2074 election from UML.
Similarly, Ganesh Shahi defeated Minakumari Shahi of CPN-UML. Mina has got 2399 votes.
