UML wins in Menchhayayem of Tehrathum, Congress wins in Deputy Chief

BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 16 – In Menchhayayem Rural Municipality of Tehrathum, UML has won the chief while Congress has won the deputy chief.

Yadav Bahadur Khapung of the CPN-UML won with 2055 votes, while Dhan Kumar Limbu of the Nepali Congress received 2021 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Congress Vice-Chairperson Gita Devi Timsina was elected. Premlata Ghimire of the UML received votes in 1974 when she ran in 1986.
