Congress wins in Phedap of Tehrathum

BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 16 – Nepali Congress has been elected as the chairperson of Phedap Rural Municipality of Tehrathum.

Nepali Congress candidate Keshav Prasad Bhetwal got 4041 votes, while CPN-UML candidate Hari Prasad Chongbang got 3,849 votes.

Sunita Pahim of the Nepali Congress was elected Vice-Chairperson. Her nearest rival, UML’s Gita Devi Thapa, got 3,725 votes, while she got 3,985 votes.
