BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 16 – Nepali Congress has maintained its lead in Biratnagar Metropolitan City.
According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, the Nepali Congress’ Nagesh Koirala got 4,531 votes, while the CPN-Sagar UML’s Thapa got 3,315 votes.
Similarly, independent candidate Umesh Yadav’s Lantern got 1,369 votes.
Shilpa Karki of the CPN-UML got 3,763 votes for the position of deputy mayor, while Amarendra Yadav of the JSP got 2,425 votes.
Binda Kumari Luintel of the RPP got 954 votes.
