NC candidate wins in Birendranagar-1 ward chairperson

SURKHET: MAY. 15 –  Dinesh Khatri of the Nepali Congress has been elected ward chairperson in Surkhet’s Birendranagar Municipality-1.

Khatri got 1485 votes, while Gangaram Sunar of the CPN-UML got 1444 votes.

Khatri was elected ward chairperson after defeating Sunar by 41 votes.

Defeated Sunar was elected as the ward chairperson in the local level election of 2074 BS.
