Bijay lead in Shailyashikhar remains, UML’s ‘clean sweep’ in 4 wards

DARCHULA: MAY. 15 – Bijay Singh Dhami of Darchula’s Shailyashikhar Municipality, a UML mayoral candidate, has maintained his lead.

Bijay has maintained his lead with 2,049 votes after the votes in Shailyashikhar’s four wards were counted.

Similarly, Amar Singh Dhami, the Nepali Congress candidate, received 1,642 votes. There is a 407-vote difference between them.

UML’s ‘clean sweep’ in 4 wards

The UML panel won all four wards of Shailyashikhar after the votes were counted. Bharat Bahadur Khadayat has been elected as the municipality’s ward chairperson for Ward No. 1.

In Ward No. 2, Narendra Bahadur Pal of the UML and Padma Bahadur Chand of Ward No. 3 both won. Similarly, Ram Singh Thagunna was victorious in Ward 4.

The counting of votes in Ward 5 is currently underway.
