BIRATNAGAR: MAY. 14 – According to preliminary results from Morang’s Budhiganga Rural Municipality, the Nepali Congress has taken the lead.

Jit Narayan Thapa Magar of the Nepali Congress got 255 votes.

Bal Bhadra Sardar Tharu of the CPN-UML is second with 132 votes. CPN-Maoist candidate Ishwori Prasad Acharya got 42 votes.

According to the Returning Officer’s Office, Amrita Gachchhadar of the Nepali Congress received 211 votes, while Tulasi Kumari Kunwar of the UML got 167 votes.

The current vote is being counted for Ward 1, and Ward 4 is also being counted.
