Congress wins in Gorkha Municipality-1, also leads in Congress mayor

POKHARA: MAY. 14 – Gorkha Municipality Ward No. 1 has been won by the Nepali Congress. Hikmat Bahadur Kunwar was elected Ward Chairperson for the second term.

He got 492 votes, while Govinda Prasad Bhattarai of the UCPN (Maoist) got 371.

Similarly, the mayor and deputy mayor are appointed by the Congress. The mayor has 483 votes in Congress, and the deputy mayor has 495 votes.

The UCPN (Maoist) got 386 votes for mayor, 273 for deputy mayor, 254 for UML mayor, and 227 for deputy mayor.
