Clash erupts in Darchula’s Shailyashikhar, three rounds of aerial fire

DARCHULA: MAY. 13 – The clash took place at Pashupati Bhawan Gwani Center in Shailyashikhar Municipality-6 of Darchula district.

Clashes broke out between Nepali Congress and CPN-UML cadres over meeting a relative.

During the clash, the polling station was broken down. Locals said that the police had to fire three rounds in the air to control the situation.

Voting was suspended after the clash. Darchula Chief District Officer Dirgharaj Upadhyaya informed that the re-polling has resumed after the all-party meeting.
