SURKHET: MAY. 13 – A clash has broken out between Nepali Congress and Unified Socialist activists in Guthichaur Guthichaur Rural Municipality of Jumla district.

Polling has been postponed due to a clash between the parties at the polling station of Shankar Multipurpose Secondary School in Gajyankot of Guthichaur Municipality.

Chief Election Officer Vijaya Prasai informed that Assistant Election Officer Ravi Bhandari sustained minor injuries in the clash.

According to Bijaya, the clash took place at the polling station when the voters tried to tear the ballot papers. Clashes broke out between the cadres of the two parties while trying to rip the ballot papers.

Voting has now been postponed. An all-party meeting will decide on the voting.
