Polling officials were beaten in Saptari, ballot boxes were torn and documents were torn

SAPTARI: MAY. 13 – Polling officials have been beaten at the polling station of Hariraba Janata Higher Secondary School in Dakneshwori Municipality-2 of Saptari district.

A group of people entered the polling station, beat up the official and tore ballot boxes and documents. Voting has been postponed after the incident.

Polling officer Bipin Yadav has been injured in the incident. He has been sent to Rajbiraj district headquarters for treatment.

With more than 2,000 votes cast, some people suddenly started vandalizing and beating the staff.
