35% of votes to be cast in 5 hours & 75% in a day : EC

KATHMANDU: MAY. 13 – According to the Election Commission, 35 percent of the votes cast in the five-hour local body election on Friday.

According to the commission, 35 percent of the votes had been cast by 7 am. According to the commission, the turnout is expected to drop to 75 percent by 5 pm.

The commission has stated that it is preparing to begin the polling program even in areas where polling could not begin due to a variety of obstacles.

Except for a few polling stations, the commission reports that voting is taking place peacefully and enthusiastically in 21,955 polling stations and 10,756 polling places across all 753 local levels.
