Tensions in Baiteshwar of Dolakha after NC cadres tried to occupy the booth

KATHMANDU: MAY. 13 – The Nepali Congress has obstructed the polling station in Dolakha’s Baiteshwor Rural Municipality. Since last night, Nepali Congress (NC) cadres have been obstructing polling stations in the municipality’s wards 1 and 2.

According to DSP Ganga Poudel of the Dolakha District Police Office, tensions arose after they attempted to occupy the booth. According to him, Nepali Congress (NC) cadres threw stones at voting booths.

By throwing stones, they prevented other party cadres from entering. They have also obstructed the Putalikath polling station of Garimudhi in Ward No. 1 and the Ward No. 2 polling station. DSP Poudel stated that an all-party meeting is being held in an attempt to start voting.
