POKHARA: MAY. 13 – Voting has started at polling stations in Kaski including Pokhara. There is competition between the alliance and the UML. Krishna Thapa and Manju Devi Gurung are UML candidates for the post of mayor of Pokhara.

Dhanraj Acharya of the Unified Socialists and Kopila Ranabhat of the Nepali Congress are the mayoral candidates in the alliance. There are 281,833 voters in the district.

Voting will be held from 150 polling stations and 336 polling booths in five municipalities including the metropolitian till 5 pm.

There are 27712 voters in Pokhara. There are 98 polling stations and 242 polling booths.

According to the Election Office, 2,695 staffs and volunteers have been deployed in the district.
