Cylinder bomb explodes in front of Parliament building

KATHMANDU:: MAY. 13 – A cylinder bomb has exploded in front of the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor on Friday morning.

The bomb exploded near an electricity pole on the opposite side of the parliament building at around 2:15 a.m. on Friday, according to police.

Two unidentified individuals riding a scooter from Tinkune dropped the gas cylinder bomb. An explosion occurred shortly after the bomb was planted.

Although there were no human casualties in the incident, the windows of two houses near the scene were broken, and the incident is being investigated, according to police.
