Nepal-India border closed in Dhanusha for election-targeted security

KATHMANDU: MAY. 12 – In Dhanusha, the local administration has closed the border with India in view of the election and has prohibited the sale and distribution of liquor.
Chief District Officer Surendra Poudel informed that the order has been issued as per various provisions of the Local Administration Act, 2028 BS and Local Level Election Directive, 2079 BS.
He informed that the sale, distribution and consumption of all kinds of intoxicants (alcohol) has been prohibited in the district from 12 midnight on Tuesday till the polling is completed and the border with the Indian border has been completely closed from 12 midnight to May 13 on Tuesday night.
