Election preparations completed in Dhanusha
The district has 323 polling stations and 596 polling booths.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 12 – All the preparations including security arrangements have been completed for the local level election to be held on Friday, May 13.
The necessary materials, such as ballot boxes and ballot papers, have reached at the polling stations of Dhanusha’s 18 local levels. Pradip Bahadur Chhetri, the spokesperson for the Dhanusha District Police Office, stated that security personnel have been deployed in all polling stations to ensure a clean, independent, fair, credible, and fear-free environment.
According to the Dhanusha District Election Office, over 6,000 candidates are running, including 32 political parties and independent candidates. According to Chief Electoral Officer Brajesh Pyakurel, voter identity cards will be distributed today, and voter education will include information on voting methods.
