Two youths drowned in separate river
Police said that a necessary investigation is underway into the incident.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 12 – Two people have drowned in the river at two separate places.
Ain Bahadur Karki, 35, of Shivanagar in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitian-1 of Kailali has drowned in Khutiya river in the same municipality-9 on Wednesday evening. Karki, who went to the river to swim with his neighbour, drowned and became unconscious. He died while receiving treatment at Dhangadh’s Seti State Hospital.
Similarly, 26-year-old Mohit Tamang of Siddharthnagar Municipality-3 of Rupandehi drowned in the river on Wednesday. Mohit who went to the river near Hotel Pauwan to swim of the same municipality, drowned and became unconscious. He passed away while receiving treatment at Bhairahawa Medical College.
Police said that a necessary investigation is underway into the incident.
