KATHMANDU: MAY. 12 – A police officer on election security duty in Surkhet beaten up a polling officer, a temporary police officer, and a villager.
Senior Police Officer Narendra Prasad Bhatta, who was stationed at the Nepal National Residential School polling station in Dhanbot in Surkhet’s Panchpuri Municipality-7, beat up polling officer Niraj Jha, Assistant Polling Officer Rajendra Dhamala, and other locals.
Some locals and temporary police including a polling official, have been injured in Bhatta’s beating.
