Election preparations in Kapilvastu are nearing completion
The district has 468 polling stations spread across 235 polling locations.
KATHMANDU: MAY. 11 – Preparations for the local level election on May 13 have reached the final stage in Kapilvastu.
Except for Maharanganj Municipality, preparations for the election have reached the final stage, according to Chief Election Officer Tejendra Prasad Sharma Sapkota. He stated that polling officials, ballot boxes, and ballot papers had been delivered to all polling locations.
Similarly, a voter education program is being conducted along with the distribution of voter identity cards, he said.
There were no large demonstrations during the period of silence, according to Chief Electoral Officer Sapkota.
The district has 468 polling stations spread across 235 polling locations. There have been 2337 employees and 1404 volunteers appointed and mobilized.
After the death of Sobhawati Kurmi, a candidate for the position of deputy mayor of Kapilvastu’s Maharajgunj municipality, the election was postponed to May 12.
According to the Returning Officer’s Office, voting will take place on May 13.
