Staff & security personnel started working at all Parbat polling stations

KATHMANDU: MAY. 13 – Staff and security personnel have begun to work hard in all of Parbat’s polling stations.

Staff and security personnel have walked around the district headquarters to get to the polling station in some places. District Election Officer Laksh Sharma informed that staff and security personnel had reached 147 polling stations in the district’s 74 polling stations as of this evening.

He stated that staff members had been dispatched to polling stations with all necessary materials, including ballot papers, ballot boxes, and voter lists.

Sharma stated that over 1100 people have been mobilized, including 147 polling officers, 147 assistant polling officers, 294 support staff, and 147 support staff. On Saturday and Sunday, polling officers and assistant polling officers were trained at Kushma.

As the election date approaches, Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Sapkota stated that security and other administrative preparations have been tightened. He stated that election preparations have reached a conclusion.

According to Sapkota, the security strategy prepared for polling, prior to polling, and until vote counting has been implemented.

The election has mobilized the Temporary Police, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, National Investigation Department, and Nepal Army. For the election, 741 temporary police officers have been appointed.

Approximately 2,000 security personnel will be stationed in the district. Parbat has 122,050 registered voters and 61 wards at seven local levels.

There are 865 candidates vying for 319 posts in the district.
